Leeds Business Week 1st- 5th June 2009

Leeds Business Week will take place 1 - 5 June at Leeds Metropolitan University's Rose Bowl, the new home for Leeds Business School. It will include a series of seminars, conferences and workshops giving you the business tools you need to succeed in business now and in the future. Whether you are a chief executive or a PA, a board member of a large plc or a budding entrepreneur, Leeds Business Week has an event for you.

As part of Leeds Business Week, Business Link Yorkshire will be hosting 2 seminars on 'Improving Your Business in Tough Times' and 'Preparing Your Business for a Brighter Future'. Business Link Advisers will be on hand at both of the seminars to let you know what business support is available.

Improving Your Business in Tough Times 1 June 2009, 9.30am - 1.00pm followed by lunch

Four experienced business leaders from Resolve will offer practical and encouraging advice on how businesses can cope with adversity and improve results. They have a wealth of knowledge about do's and don'ts, how to survive and continue moving forward, how to get the best out of people in difficult situations, and how to prepare your business to spot opportunities in spite of the generally poor economic climate.

It will be a morning event finishing with a networking lunch to provide businesses with an opportunity to talk with the speakers. Business Link will be on hand to talk about what business support is available.

Preparing Your Business for a Brighter Future 2 June 2009, 9.30am - 12.30pm followed by lunch

Aimed at SMEs, this seminar looks at different ways businesses can become more competitive through innovation. You will hear how simple changes transformed a product's potential, how web innovation opened up new markets and how a new identity enabled a business to expand. You will learn how to start the process and find out what support is available to help you.
The event will include guest speakers from Bettys & Taylors, G4S, Kilo 75 and Mechan.
The event will be followed by lunch, allowing the opportunity to network .
